Medications which can possibly affect Cialis

Before prescribing Cialis doctors usually ask patients suffering from ED about other disorders they may have and other medications they are currently taking. This is made as a precaution against possible drug interactions and conditions which these interactions may provoke.

So it is very important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use for erectile dysfunction, or for other disorders. The following list of drugs with which Cialis may interact is not full; if you are taking other medications inform your doctor:

  • antibiotics;
  • rifabutin;
  • rifampin;
  • rifapentine;
  • barbiturates;
  • medications for high blood pressure;
  • medications for prostate enlargement;
  • antifungal medications;
  • antidepressants (nefazodone);
  • heart medications;
  • seizure medications;
  • other ED medications;
  • HIV or AIDS medications.
